Rubies, Are they forever too?

Christmas has been a great adventure for our family. We have been in California since mid-December. Lots of fun stuff has happened that I can't wait to blog about, but for now, since I am still not even home, I will give a sneak peak. On Nick's birthday, the 23rd, we got Kat's ears pierced. Nick didn't like "disfiguring" her on his birthday, but he admits they look cute. In this picture, she had not quite realized what was going to happen. She only cried for a minute though, and she has since never messed with them.

Isn't she so cute? Her earrings are rubies, her birthstone.

Just because, here is Ali showing off one of the many presents she got for Christmas. She loves the outfit because not only is it comfy and warm, but it has kitties on it.

I like the word, "disfiguring." Excellent and accurate description of infant ear piercing. They do look cute and everyone will know she is a girl.
Alicia's picture is very cute. Those gloves look funny. Like she dipped her fingers in red candy.

I think it is best to pierce their ears when they are young. They cannot remember the pain and if they want to take them out when they are older...they can!
